Transitioning Seasons in a Black Midi

Hello dear ladies!
Here’s another outfit from my April challenge series.  You can read the background to the challenge HERE.

This  particular #transitioningseasons challenge went through its own transitioning and I was pleased with the final stripped back version, suited to the temperature and my lifestyle right now .
.
I would have worn brown sandals if Prince Charming had hunted me down to return my missing sandal (scroll down).
Is this an outfit you’d wear in lockdown? .
I found it very easy-wear for an evening at home.  Minus the jacket and bag, of course.
Are you wearing jackets, accessories and jewellery right now?
I seem to have quickly abandoned all the “trimmings”.
.

This pared down version of the outfit challenge worked for me.
Even the scarf was ditched.

And Prince Charming still hasn’t returned my missing sandal!

I whittled down from large brown leather bag to a dinky sized bag, but that was still one bag too many for a stay at home outfit.
(Both are Gianni Conti bags from yonks ago)

This challenge seemed all about finding lockdown level.

Are you finding that too?  That you’re wearing far less of everything?

A la perchoine,
Mary x.

  1. My daily outfits consist of baggy trousers and tops these days, but as we have no visitors I am not too afraid of being seen!

  3. I love this look on you. It's elegant but casual.

I'm still wearing what I usually wear but I have to admit that if I start the day in walking gear I tend to stay in it rather than get changed. However, I often walk in 'ordinary' outfits and just add walking boots and socks!

    1. Thank you, Vronni, it was most wearable. If I don't do anything too physical or dirty during the day my walking outfit often stays on throughout too. I've noted that you wear very smart walking outfits!!

  5. Bags and jackets definitely abandoned, "hello" to rucksack for daily walks and long cardigans for when it gets chilly in the evening! I love a denim jacket on you Mary, it adds a cool and stylish vibe to your midi dress.

    1. Thanks Gail, but like you say, jackets are out right now and even a jean jacket somehow feels a little too formal!!I

    1. So right, denim is a great fall back for those chillier spring days.

  7. You look so hip and I love your hair--wish I could pull off longer hair! I have abandoned trimmings, too, but will wear small stud earrings some days.

    1. Some can't do long hair, some can't do short - and that's me, Kim! I'm impressed that you've slipped on some studs occasionally, that's way more than I've done.
