Travel Tuesday - Polperro

Hello my lovelies, hope you're having a great day .
I've had quite a jam-packed day, so I thought I'd take a little breather by sharing a few recent holiday snaps with you and give you a break too from my endless outpouring of words!

So I give you, with few words, Polperro, Cornwall, a pretty little fishing village..

We lunched here.

Here would have been nice too, yummy Cornish pasties!

The maze of little streets were effectively welcoming

With bunting

And flowers

Hilly ports always look prettier,

IMHO.

The hot walk to the top of the hill is rewarded with some stunning bird's eye views of the town.

It was a hot day.

I delegated that job to TP.

I ate ice cream.

A la perchoine.

  2. Polperro, I love that place! When I was young and living in Plymouth, my best friend lived in Looe and her boyfriend and his parents lived in Polperro. So I used to spend quite a lot of time there. We had wonderful evenings in a restaurant called Nelson's. One day, the boyfriend was hit on the head by a tortoise. You'll know how that can happen, with the steep sloping gardens! It's always a nice anecdote. He was unhurt, but I'm not sure about the tortoise!

    1. Oh Gail, what a surreal experience!!! You could dine out on that one for years! TP was riveted when I read him your comment. So pleased this post brought back many fond memories for you, but the best one of all just has to be that flying tortoise! Happy weekend hugs, x
