Welcome to December, peeps - 🕯 🎄 🎅 !!! .
But now, let’s go dashing through the snow to One That Got Away.
Today’s offering is ..
The Christmas Jumper.
I succumbed to the trend for seasonal sweaters.
This grey wool jumper was surprisingly flattering and the fun sequined reindeer wasn’t in-your-face garish. Actually, I liked it. A lot. And so did The Photographer.
But I worked out that there’s a max. six week slot to wear a Christmas jumper. And in reality they probably just get worn on Christmas Day Something so short-lived doesn’t sync with the parsimony of a retirement wardrobe.
So the Christmas jumper was another trend that got away.
A la perchoine.

My Christmas jumper came from our local Hospice Shop. Only worn once then donated. A bargain!
ReplyDeleteSurely, that's a good tip on buying Christmas jumpers, Jay, thanks.

As far as Christmas jumpers go...not a bad one at all; quite cute. Eat your heart out, Bridget Jones and Colin Firth!!
ReplyDeleteWell I agree Dutchie, it was a nice jumper. And I don't think those jumpers took off until the film eh?

Recycle my only Christmas jumperevery year. It's one I like and never buying another.
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley, I think you're right, they're so suited to recycling.

I bought a cute Christmas sweater several years ago to wear to an Ugly Christmas Sweater themed party. But I hardly wear it now because it doesn't really get cold enough until after Christmas! Ha! I do love yours, very pretty!

Oh sweet sista, I almost feel for you not being able to wear jumpers at Christmas, but I say ALMOST because that sun is nice in December too eh?!

I'm a curmudgeon; I'm afraid. I hate Christmas jumpers...

They are wasteful, eh Vronni, but I'm picking up a great tip from Jay here, keep recycling them - and you are the charity (chazzer?) queen eh ...!!
