WIW - What a Difference A Week Makes

Hello my lovelies.  Wow, what gorgeous days we've been experiencing and yes, I've been out there enjoying them.
Meantime, I continue to feel my way through these weeks as I work out where my blog's going next.   I made some progress on this yesterday over lunch with Son, a great start to me upping my game.
In the meantime, posts may be a little erratic but I'll get there .. I think!

I felt I had to publish my PINK COCOON steal post recently as some warning for the outfits that are to come.

Here's where I started from.

I think during my Blogger's Fug I've been dressing accordingly. There was little colour in my week, unlike the riot of colour in my previous WIW.  Maybe it was when beginning to collate these photos, maybe it was my more positive mood shift inspired by KELLYANN (here) but my colour palette at least has started to up its game this week, and hopefully you will agree when you see next week's WIW post.

Anyway I give you my previous week's day-to-day outfits, with little explanation required.

Hats.  What can I say other than stating the obvious - this was a third-day-no-make-up day!

I bought some apples off my neighbour's stall and made crumble (crisp).  Food yards, 50.

Love this gable in autumn.  Don't love that it gives me a pin head.  TP says the lens focuses on the dark leaves when he's taking the photos and that perhaps explains why my head at this point becomes sort of insignificant - well to the lens, not to me!

Looks a simple enough outfit, eh?

But there was some deliberation beforehand hand.  And yes, The Photographer and I are still talking!

My what to wear with a lace top dilemma in pics.

I leave you with autumn leaves,
a la perchoine,
Mary.

    1. Thanks, Vronni. Yes, white and grey works best lifted with a bit of colour. It's mustard IRL, so I'm actually on trend with this old cardi!
      Have a fabulous weekend, x.

  3. Well that gable is gorgeous but you even more so in all these lovely ensembles! Hard to pick a favorite but I do lean towards the blush, white pants and scarf and who’s that hottie in that hat? You dear friend!

  4. You started the week in soft neutrals but were rocking a yellow by the end....I wonder if that's the subconscious mind at work? When I look back on my outfits last week, there was a fair bit of black and grey and not much colour until a night at the theatre. For me I find neutrals and black easiest to wear. Just sling them on, no need to worry.

    1. Interesting you say that, Gail. I've been taking up Annemarie's white tee challenge on IG and on reflection my take became quite black and white as the day's drifted, so I noted that I broke out in full colour on the last day, and now I'm hungry for more!
Yes, I guessed we do 'comfort dress' for ease.
Loved your week in outfits, and yes, your theatre look was fab.
Thanks for popping in, hugs, x.

    1. Thanks so much, Amy. It's a beautiful gable but weirdly only a small part of the creeper at the front of the house is red. Hugs, my lovely, x.

  6. Another great post Mary! My favourite piece has to be that cream lace shell top - any of those stylings work I'd say. I'm not sure I could bring myself to do a post without make-up on - I don't even go to the washing line without my slap on.

    Have a lovely week!

    1. Why thank you, sweet Anna. I wasn't wearing that lace layering piece as I didn't like the high neck ... then I tucked the neck down inside and now I see its beauty!
And that make up thing used to be me, no dustbin saw me bare-faced. Wait till you get to your late 60s, it all changes!
      Hugs, x.

    1. Thanks Jacqui, aren't cardis the best for pretty much all year round?!
Yes, there are quite a few 'honesty boxes' around my 'hood, currently I've been buying beautiful aubergine, tomatoes and potatoes, so we made a tasty moussaka, and the apples around have gone into apple crumble. A good time for cooking. Hugs, x.
