#4: Planes, Boat and a Van Called Dave

So, all you budding Agatha Christies, have you worked out where I've been yet?  Maybe you're not interested.  Maybe it's only me who's enjoying this bit of skite.  So I'll carry on regardless!

In my last post I gave you what I wore.  Jeans, comfortable walking shoes, a fleece.  Were there any clues there?

Today I give you my mode of travel.

A plane to Exeter.

A smaller plane from Exeter.

A speedboat ferry.

And a Van Called Dave.

Dave transported cases from harbour to hotel.

To this hotel, with its very cosy and welcoming resident's lounge.

Here's another taster of the location.

TP used to have time shares on this holiday island in two of the properties behind him, right and second from left.

And as the sun sets on ... ?!

A la perchoine

  1. Okay, since I live in Southern California, as close as I can get is an island somewhere in the British Isles. Yes, I know that's just pathetic. Just in case there is big money in it for the winner, I'll throw in "Somewhere off the coast of Scotland." Did I win? :D

    1. Oh Anne, I like your spirit, this was a joy to read! Your first answer was correct though a little too broad for the mega bucks. Your second, rather off the mark a tad. But thanks for entering! Hugs, x.

    1. Well, AM, the only vehicular traffic on the island is made up of farm vehicles, a few runabout golf buggies and little delivery vehicles. There are no numbered registration plates, just names like Dave and George!
      Hugs, x.

  3. 'A van called Dave'...perfect title for a children's book about the island, don't you think?

    1. Oh yes, LD, that's conjuring up a great story in my mind! Are you going to write it or am I?!

    1. Oh Mrs R, I swear you are commenting with your Downton Abbey accent! I hear Lady Mary as I was read.
Glad you enjoyed my little mystery, hugs, x.

  5. I wish we could name all our cars or vans ourselves! Mind you, can you imagine the chaos that could cause? Well, it looks very picturesque that's for sure. I hope it's fun xx

    1. Oh I can certainly imagine the chaos but, just being curious, what would yours be called? You may already have a name for it, some people do.
      Hugs, x.

    1. Hi Amy, yes, it adds a few days to the actual holiday but it's a lovely place and very peaceful and relaxing when you get there.
