Being ... Laurie

Hi sweeties.
Hope you're having a great Friday.  I've nipped over to the UK for a few days. But before I did, I had much to do and I thought I'd do it Being ... Laurie.

Laurie of Vanity and Me Style  has a so elegant style.  She is always so well turned out.  Always dressed immaculately in tasteful outfits.  Yet sometimes her blog reveals her casual side and she does it with the same panache.

Recently she had a casual day here in a white column and denim shirt.  I liked her look and remembered that I have an old Levi shirt.  So I followed my usual procedure in these inspired instances - I saved a photo on my Kindle and laundered the shirt.

And yesterday I was ready to steal Laurie's look.
White jeans, white camisole, Levi shirt.

Sparkly casual shoes from Peacocks, in Pantone blush.
I'm excited.  I've bought a pair of those cosy casual shoes that I'm seeing so many wear, like Andrea which she teamed hers with a black dress/denim jacket look that I stole recently.  (Yes, my name is The Pout and I pilfer, rather a lot!).

Laurie added a belt and necklace to her outfit. I added a turquoise, grey and green bracelet and silver and turquoise dangly earrings.  I have to describe these details cos you can't see them in my blow up shots.  Aren't they bad?!!!

I would have perhaps smartened this OOTD a tad more and found a nice shoot location outdoors (Laurie puts much thought into her locations).  But I had to dash off to pick up a few things for my suitcase as I was catching an afternoon flight.  So I had no time for more than a quick snapshot session before scooting out the door.  Oh, The Photographer loves this fast-lane living!

And another day, another outfit (grey jeans, charcoal Next top, no photos).  I'm now in the UK,  stretched out in a lovely hotel room after a serious morning's shopping.  Doing my best to rattle off a post working within the constraints of my little kindle.
Typing is quite slow on this little keyboard, it's a one finger jobbie.  But I am dedicated to the cause and that's not going to stop me popping up on your screen to wish you a happy weekend, peeps!

A la perchoine.

  3. I love this look. I will have to try it sometime. The levi shirt against the all-white base looks fabulous.
