La Duchesse's Notes From A Smaller Island #2

Oh my sweet people, I've never given you much consistency with my posts eh?  My blogging has no real rhythm.  I do try to work on that, honest I do.
This weekend's going to be pretty busy and as I still haven't worked out how to schedule my posts like the big girls, I'm going to blog during this week and then take a break at the weekend to allow myself time to meet up with l4 Amazeballs reaching our shores!

So, let's keep up the momentum with today's post, one from my Notes series.

Allow me to properly introduce you to La Duchesse, a dear friend from Holland who I've known for yonks.  She used to live on the island and since returning to her home country, Holland, she tries to pop over to stay with us every year or two.
During her last visit she kidnapped my camera and took some pics of herself, (READ ABOUT IT HERE).  Oh the little imp that she is!
She also happens to be a regular commenter on my blog.

We're following her on her island walks.  She never leaves home without a camera and in sharing her photos with us we can view the island through her eyes.

Today we find our visiting Duchesse on one of our 'hood beach stretches, Cobo and Grandes Rocques, early morning.

Then she hopped back down there at sunset for a photo op.
She likes her sunsets.

La Duchesse has a passion for camera and paints and her artistic eye comes across in her pics.

  5. I don't mind that you don't post to a strict schedule. It's like having an unexpected phone call from a friend or bumping into a friend at the markets - always a pleasant surprise. Sometimes, I find, it's the irregular treats and random pleasures that add joy to the week.

  6. Oh my! Your beaches are glorious! Thanks to La Duchesse and to you for this beautiful post I also find your irregular treats and random pleasures something to look forward to. Actually, I had barely noticed that they were irregular so if I were you I wouldn't give it another thought. Enjoy your dear friend. xo
