Dear readers,
Life's a rollercoaster, that's for sure, and these past couple of weeks have certainly been filled with a fair few downs and ups.
My poor Photographer has been through the wars, and has spent a few weeks recovering in hospital from emergency surgery.
It's been a rough time for him.
The road to recovery is complex.
My waking time has been spent with him, he has been my focus.
So I haven't replied to your comments or commented on others' blogs of late and I'm sure you now understand the reason for my radio silence.
Dearest family and friends provide succor and love, as always.
Our thanks go out to Anna of Mutton Style for immediately offering to pop on a plane to lend support, and to Laurie and my American Triad, (Kellyann, Andrea and Lisa) for their kind words of comfort.
The Photographer navigated through to calmer waters with grace, gratefulness and patience and fantastic hospital care. And he came home today!
No pressure but I'm looking forward to my beloved getting behind the camera lens again, though I think his carrot may be the golf course.
Now, let Ronan sing you through his rollercoaster ...
Normal service will now be resumed.
A la perchoine.
I have been thinking of you and your man daily! I am so happy he is home where he belongs to heal with his princess! Much love continues to head your way. Don’t worry bout all of us, we’re not going anywhere and will await your return and Mr’s full recovery! Love you Mary!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, dear Andrea Thank you! Big hugs, X.
DeleteI am sure TP is glad to be home with his princess and he will now be on the road to a speedy recovery with you at his side. I have certainly missed your posts but as Andrea says don't worry about us as we will be here when you return with TP taking the photos. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Christy, he had a dramatic turnaround in the last 48 hours and is now on track road to recovery ... in his armchair instead of a hospital bed! Hugs, x.
DeleteSo sorry to hear of TP not being well but glad he is at home. It's always a worrying time and I send you my good wishes for a continued recovery. Take care of yourself as well.

DeleteOK, I am having trouble typing this morning-so let me start over....I'm happy to hear that your roller coaster is now traveling ground more level. And here's to 100% speedy recovery to great health for your Mr. Heavens, what would we do without our photographers?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your kind wishes, Terri, and when he's fit, who knows, he may fancy a bit of editing too, like Mr Meadowtree. Wish me luck on that one! Hugs, x.
DeleteI so hope David is back behind his lens soon. We miss him and his style critique. Mind you now you can wear what you like and accept his critique as 'must be the medication.'
ReplyDeleteOh AM, we did roll around laughing when we read this!! You are giving me a great 'get out of jail' card ... hey, I could even try the 'sack tied in the middle' look. Thank you again for offering to drop everything to hop over to help, so very, very kind, selfless, generous, thoughtful and compassionate.
DeleteHugs, my lovely, x.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, Mary. Hope all is back to normal soon. I'm sure that golf is a great carrot! For my Hubby after surgery... it was canoeing... with golf a close second. The great motivators. Make sure to take care of yourself, as well as him!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kindness, Sue, it's good to hear what carrots worked for your hubby, it's great to have some strong motivators eh. Hugs my dear, x.
DeleteAlways there for you Mary xx
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you've been. So sorry to hear this. I've been missing in action myself...computer problems. I'm back on-line temporarily but I have no idea when my computer will fail me again.
