La Duchesse's Notes From a Smaller Island #3

Today our visiting reader found a super sun set reflecting on to the shore's sand.

Now here's a whacky idea.
I used to paint, but I've lapsed - this photo series is inspiring me to take up my brushes again.
If you're interested in painting, and maybe you've lapsed too, how's about we try painting a scene from one of La Duchesse's photos?
Following CSN's lead, what have we got to lose?!

A la perchoine.

  4. Ah..... "don't let the past remind you of what you are not now". !!!! I love these guys. Only ever made better by Neil Young, the man who says and sings it all. ~ Sigh ~ Thanks for this tune and for the sunset shots. I'm inspired.... however only to make music and sing and dance. I leave painting to you and will stick with painting my nails. I can't even paint walls as your friend Vanity and Me is able to do. Have fun!

    1. Well I can only do one of those three, and even then I don't dance particularly well.
Oh Karen, I'm going to have to sing it all the way through to check out the other nuggets in that song. And then move on to After The Goldrush for more gems!
      Hugs my friend, x

    1. Yes Duchesse, Karen pointed out a meaningful line in quite a profound song. Sometimes it just takes one line to resonate and stay with us forever. Hope you're continuing to have fun on the island, hugs x.

    1. Well Anna, I hope this inspires you to finish that painting and maybe it will lead to more. Sketching is easy to do anywhere, anytime - perhaps you might want to pick that up again too. Hugs, x
