It's my observation that a lot of us enjoy our holidays but we get to a point where we yearn for home, yearn for our own brand of normal and we long to be back with our loved ones.
I've been "on the road" for a month.
I have a yearning to be home ... to see the family I love so dearly, and my Bertie, my friends, my humble home.

I have a yearning to see this view again.
And I'm not just talking about the hot chocolate!
I've missed you, Sarnia Cherie, 💓, my little piece of normal.
A la perchoine.

Mary I know exactly what you mean and I always feel the same. And that's even if I'm away for five or more days! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie, nice to hear that you feel the same way. Sometimes I wonder why I go away at all?!!
DeleteHugs for the weekend, x.
I am a homebody for sure! I could never travel for work and admire those that do and do it so well. I love the idea of vacation and once I go I'm fine but I always have second thoughts about leaving my little nest.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like your normal!
xo,
Kellyann
Hi Mts R, guess you're right, it feels OK once we're away. I find the organising of EVERYTHING beforehand so tiring. We LOVE normal!
DeleteWishing you a cosy weekend, hugs, x.
I agree completely. Holidays are lovely, but there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed and getting back into your own normal, as you put it so well.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacqui, what are we like? I guess Thomas Cook won't be sponsoring us any time soon!
DeleteHappy weekend, hugs, x.
I hope you get back to your home and family very soon!!
ReplyDeleteHi Duchesse,
DeleteYes, I got back safely and I managed to fast=track meeting most of my family on my first day back. So grateful for what have.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, hugs. x.
A month is a long time to be away from home.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
DeleteOh it sure is, but needs must and there were things that needed attention. Back home now and loving it!
Wishing you a good hike out somewhere pretty tomorrow, hugs x.
Felt exactly the same Mary as I arrived back in the UK on Fri after just a few days in the US! There's no place like home.
ReplyDeleteOh let's face it we're all home birds at heart eh?! Hope you're going to tell us all (well some anyway!) of what you've been up to in sunny California. Hugs, happy week ahead, x.
DeleteWishing you a sweet homecoming! Get cozy and enjoy your sweet home nest prettty lady!
ReplyDeleteHello sweetie-pie. I'm home now and dealing with my jet lag (a half hour flight!). We changed the clocks back today (think you're next week?). It's so dark out there!!!
DeleteHugs, x.
