Hello my lovelies!
Listening to our Chief Minister @gavinstpier’s lunchtime chats has become a Thing for island families, akin to huddles around the crystal set during the occupation.
Friday’s was a game changer. Announcing Stage 4 of Lockdown Exit. .
.
Yesterday hairdressers were a-clippin’ at 12.01am.
Restaurants opened somewhat later.
And fireworks 💥 were a-poppin’ in last night’s sky.
Heck, even a spaceship passed by! .
.
Yup, there was quite a buzz about the place for this stage in the exit process. .
.
But I’ll miss the stone towers.
.
.
A la perchoine,
Mary x.
P. S. I was quite proud of today’s post title, it’s a play on Top Cat’s exit stage left catch phrase - anyone remember that?!

Do I detect a sense of excitement here?? Good news all round isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI do remember Top Cat but not that particular line though I loved Officer Dibble xx
Yessss, excitement abounds!!!
DeleteThe line comes from Top Cat ... or maybe Sgt Bilko, you've got me doubting myself now!
Hugs, x.
I loved Top Cat - and so did my Dad!
ReplyDeleteHow fab to have hairdressers open - I can't wait...
Take care
xxxx
Nice to hear that TC was a favourite in your family too!
DeleteI guess short haired ladies may be feeling the pinch of being without a 6 weekly cut, but I'm loving yours longer and I think it works even better that length for your signature head scarf looks. Mine's just one wild woman dangle!!
Hugs, x.
