When You Dress to Match Your Luggage

Well, my dearies, I arrived back on The Rock yesterday evening after a lovely holiday in Sussex and Devon with The Photographer's family (mostly American).

For my travelling outfit I chose to match my luggage.

Well,  perhaps I didn't quite plan it this way (and when I discovered the matchy-matchy at this moment at the airport I was a tad embarrassed if I'm being honest), but yes, I did indeed end up looking like my luggage, wearing a cardi that caught my eye (for a reason I will explain in another post).  Should any fellow travellers have noticed this, I hope they appreciated the coordination of it all and heavens knows, it could even catch on!

The cardi's colour is Ultraviolet, BTW - I had no idea that I'd bagged THE Pantone colour of SS18 until I read the small print on the label, but I was drawn to it and I suddenly find myself on trend.  And that ain't 'alf bad for a blogger eh?!

The luggage is by Aerolite and is super-light, so I ended up checking in a bag weighing in at 7.1kg and that's for a 2.5 week holiday.

TP's is the big case BTW, so now read the small print to my 7.1kg bombshell - his case does include my shoes, my shopping splurge, toiletries and souvenirs and then is pretty much stuffed to the gunnels with his lovely polo shirts and shorts in an array of colours which we picked up in M&S.  Which was good as he found himself living in shorts and polo shirts throughout the holiday, so heatwavy was the UK - the mind boggles at what he would have worn otherwise.  I think he may have melted.

So, my dear lovelies, there now follows those harrowing few days when I attempt to download holiday shots from three devices and then scratch my head trying to make some sense of them all.

Please do drop me a comment.  I love hearing from readers, old and new.  And please do pop back to check out what I did and what I wore on my hols (vacay)  - I hope it will interest you even just a little.

And if you like my posts and don't want to keep checking in for new posts because, hey, we're all super-busy eh?, then please follow or subscribe or both.  It makes life easy for you and each new follower or comment brings a big beaming smile to my aging pensioner's face.  So, it's win-win, peeps.

A la perchoine.

  1. What can I say other than you look great, matching your luggage or not, who cares, but the blue really suits you.

    1. Oh Christy, you are a love! Thank you.
I thought it was quite funny when I noticed the match so I quickly asked TP to take a pic. What? Next to the toilets?! he panicked. No, stand with your back to them, I directed. Needs must, eh.
Hugs and wishing you a happy day, x.

  5. I love this matchy matchy outfit and luggage combo and would have been happy to get caught on camera looking as fab as this sweetie. Good luck with all the downloading - I know how challenging this can be for us over 50's!

    1. Well my immediate blogger reaction was to snap the moment for blogsterity. Oh my days, we've just spent time with a tech-savvy nephew and our usual hair-tearing problems were sorted with a quick "let me look at that" and a flash of keyboard action. We poor 50-plusers struggle in this age eh?! Hugs my sweet, x.
