La Duchesse's Notes From A Smaller Island #8

Here ends La Duchesse's current series of beautiful snapshots of her recent holiday in Guernsey.

Appropriately, today's subject is sunset.
The time of the day when the sun creates its own masterpieces.

.

And this masterpiece happened in a moment ...

... she snapped as a seagull soared against a red sky, reflecting the sun's daily display of power.

Thank you, dear Duchesse, for sharing these moments with us.

A la perchoine.

    1. You know, since I posted it, I've been clicking that Albatross button sooo many times. And your volcano at sunset sounds fantastic, and I'm guessing you're not in Sussex right now! Enjoy the Canaries, hugs x.

    1. Well the room IS ready, sort of, because I now want to redecorate in soft grey and aqua, inspired by your beautiful powder room and porch. Yes, yes, YES, to watching the Guernsey sunset with you and Kellyann! Hugs to you, my beauty, x.

    1. Well, that's the thing Gail. I decided a few years ago that I wanted to stay in Guernsey to enjoy the summers, why go away and miss this? And whilst holidaying recently I found found myself saying on repeat "this feels like Spain" in Sussex and "this feels like France" in Devon! Hope you're feeling like you're somewhere exotic right now! Hugs, x.
