The Graphic T

Hi my sunny friends!

Have you joined the Graphic T party yet?
OK, as usual I am pretty late to join the party.

But I call it fashionably late.
Paris City Chic Couture late.  I don't think it get's any more fashionable that that!

Yup, I've gone graphic.  The Paris is written in a glitzy silver glitter.  And why not indeed?

(Peacocks, £12)

I paired it with white linen cropped trousers and matched the glitziness with some sequined flip flops.
Both pieces are old.  I also wore a silver belt, but why didn't I do the full blogger monty and snap it?

I had breakfast on the run, a coconut milk shake with lots of crushed ice.  Yumminess in a glass!

I'd first worn old M&S Footglove black leather wedges, but then as today's mission would involve clumsy old  me walking down a steep cobbled hill with oily feet, sense prevailed and the sequined flip flops were my wise choice when leaving the house on yet another sunny day.

Oily feet? I hear you ask.

It was mani pedi day. For 'tis the season to get ones feet out for all the world to see and time to use my Mother's Day voucher I'd been saving for just this moment.

Oh how I love the pampering.  I went for browny bronze shades to kick myself out of my pink pink and more pink groove.  So feet are CND Leather Satchel, for my view is that these nails should always be a few shades darker than the hands.

And here, CND Untitled Bronze.  'Twas the day for shellac namer's block.

I was soooo thankful for my wonderful Mother's Day pampering gift.

Have you got your nails ready for summer's fun?
And which graphic pool have you dipped your manicured toe into?

A la perchoine.

  1. I too am fashionably late to the graphic tee party with a couple of them from TK Maxx with gold as my accent colour. I love the idea of having a pedicure, but would struggle to find the time my dear. Thanks for the tip re toes and finger nails to be different shades - where do these wise words hail from? Will I be a wise owl too when I'm a grown up?

    Love and hugs,
    Anna x

    1. Oh good, we can be the newbies huddling in a corner of the party-room feeling still slightly uncomfortable in our glitzy graphics!
I get the pamper time factor issues, Anna, but I do like to squeeze in a pedi at the beginning of summer and that lasts the season so it's time and money well-invested. And it is soooo nice. I gave myself permission to relax for an hour, listen to the spa music and just drift.
      Lovely.
Oh and if you're feeling like your not yet there on wise-owling, I'm 8 years ahead and that's the first time I've be called wise!
      Hugs, x.

  2. Love the sparkly flip flops. I am due for a mani-pedi and usually go for a pinky red on the toes. I am a bit slack during the winter months but will need to get them done before I hit the UK summer.
Your shirt looks great but I avoid the graphics as they draw attention to the large boobs!

    1. Oh heck, Pieta, I forgot about the boobs! Yes, book your mani-pedi slot now, so that the nails last the full holiday as I don't think they'll have nail bars up in Shetland!
      Hugs, x.

  3. I also adhere to the darker toes/lighter fingers - thought it was only me. I do them myself though. Just got a graphic tee with paris/sequins too, although I got if more for the shape and the neutral color than the graphic :) Your outfit is cute. Lise

    1. Aw thanks, Lise, and how spooky your dip on the water is with Paris and sparkle too! And just where have we picked up this lighter/darker thing? I think it looks more casual and relaxed and whilst we can experiment with nail colour, feet need a stronger colour to avoid looking insipid. That's my take, anyway.
      Hugs, x.

  4. I'm so late to that party I haven't even got a graphic tee, except for one I bought last year with "wake me for champagne" (which makes me feel a bit embarrassed because everyone seems to guzzle prosecco these days?). But I like yours with the silver. Nice toes, I have a comfort zone too of pale pink or pearly white. Must break out of the rut! x

    1. Well, join me and Anna (above) in that corner and I'll scribble "prosecco" on yours with eye pencil!
I'm pleased I've tried another colour, and although pretty, the blue and green she tried on me were a gel-step too far!
      Hugs, x.

    1. Thanks, Laura, and it really is a pamper so as soon as the spa music started I told myself throw myself into the whole indulgence bit. Rare treats deserve my full attention! Hugs, x.

  6. I love silver on the feet, both in polish and shoes. That was a great Mother's Day gift and it sounds like you have a wonderful time.

As far as graphic T's, I have a couple from a young Kansas City designer and a couple dog related ones and if I could find a cool Poodle one, I would jump on it. As far a nail polish, well, I change it regularly. At the moment, I'm wearing Kiko 487 which is a slight rose metallic. But the 4th is coming up so red, white and blue is soon going to be on (or just red if I get lazy)!
Take care and stay cool (it's a scorcher here) xox

    1. Yes I really was grateful for such a lovely pampering present. I'll cross fingers you find your poodle T soon.
I've enjoyed your nail colour posts and you are certainly more adventurous than me. We have American family arriving on 4th. I'm serving US style food, decorating with flags and will dress in the colours, but don't think I'll be brave enough to star-spangle my nails!
Hugs to you and have a great 4th, Terri, x.

  7. I love your graphic t - better late than never! I just jumped in to the trend myself. Yours is graphic t done right I'd say. Very classy and sophisticated.
I bought my mom a gift certificate for a pedicure and I'm hoping she'll go get pampered soon. It feels so good and it's nice to have pretty toes!
    Hugs!!

    1. Thank you, sweetness, I'll look out for your graphics. Your mum is one lucky lady, she will love the pampering as much as I did. And yes, a main pedi gives a feeling of being that little bit better groomed and creates extra confidence, in my experience anyway.
Happy 4th, looking forward to seeing what you chose to wear. Hugs, x.

  9. No graphic T's as of yet but who knows? I do like them. Peacocks have really upped their game I think this year. And of course I like nail polish. I like anything with the name bronze! xx

    1. Yes, I've become a bit of a Peacocks fan in the last few years, pick wisely and there are beauties to be had. You are wise to jump at the word bronze, it's a flattering metallic shade. Hugs, x
