The Pearl Fisher

Halloo my darlings.  Are you enjoying the last few days of September?
I'm trying to make the most of every day as September is a month I'm rather fond of.

Exciting news!  I've discovered another "duh" dividend since I wrote recently of my bedroom switch here.  I find myself with a new photo shoot location. The backdrop is more serene.  And today I sort of match it.

I'm continuing to adhere to my 3-different-ways for any new item that enters my wardrobe.
I recently bought this lovely pearly sweater, details here.  So, way number 1 was with black jeans and heels, recently.   Here I give you the remaining two ways I styled this beautiful piece.

Firstly with a black and stone print skirt and taupe heels.  Easy on the accessories, of course, this jumper has its own in-built pearlage.

I liked the mix.  The skirt is just a puff of air, allowing the jumper to be the main attraction which is its rightful place in any outfit.

With a soft pleather biker jacket.
But, you know, it didn't feel the right sort of evening to get my legs out, despite the sun still shining.

So my third styling was with grey jeans.

I felt this was just right for the evening.

On came the jacket.   Then off.  It wasn't needed and stayed in the car but it did enjoy its little outing.  I'm kind to my jackets.

My excitement continued.  I kept the taupe heels on with the jeans, their first time together.  Finally!
This jeans and heels pairing has been a will-they-won't-they sort of Rachel and Ross cliffhanger in the Pout wardrobe, and it finally happened on Tuesday evening.  Don't you think they look great together?  MFEO?
Let's hope we don't get any "We were on a BREAK!" dramas in the Pout wardrobe, as both these items are far too useful to become an "exclusive" pairing.

And I took the newbie couple to the little Marina at the north of the island ...

I tried to show you the Marina behind me.  Fail.  Too sunny.

I was more successful with this cow.

And its cow's eye view of the Marina from the restaurant.

Should have ordered my dining companion's elegant dish.  She finished hers.  Whereas I had to pass her most of my chips, and take home half my fish.

My gigantic fish and chips.

My friends called it shark and chips as it was so huge.
I didn't realise at the time that there was a life-sized shark directly behind me!

So, pearl jumper, 3 ways.  Done.
Did I do well?
I am loving this jumper.  Only light-touch styling required.

I really recommend finding yourself a statement jumper or cardi.  Such a quick fix when you fancy a bit of glam casual.

A la perchoine.

    1. Now, Mrs R, I'm imagining that you comment with a British accent, so ta luvey! And so right, there's way more than 3 ways to wear this pearly babe. And you're right too with R and R, they'll be popping up on your screen again soon as they are enjoying the occasional date! Hugs and have a good weekend at the game, x.

  3. What a good idea to style an article of clothing, newly bought, in your case with three other items. I've heard it said that when you buy something only buy it if it goes with at least three other items in your wardrobe. I try to keep this in mind but have to admit to buying items just because I liked, the shape, colour, pattern whatever. It's ok when you shop second hand; if it doesn't go with anything you can just recycle it.

I loved your jumper with all three items especially the skirt. The jeans and shoes were made for each other.

    Have a good weekend.

    1. Hi Vronni, I wish I could remember who inspired me recently to try everything three ways. But sometimes we just are smitten by something, eh, 3 ways be hanged! Aww, thanks for liking my ideas with this jumper, it felt really cute with the skirt. And some things really are MFEO.
Thanks for popping in. Happy weekend, hugs, x.

  9. Love what you did with all three looks.

Three is my magic number too. And I think it has rubbed off my my kids. This weekend, driving home from Kansas City, my oldest was lecturing me on how always to find three different ways to wear something before I buy it-I just stopped her there, with, yes, I know, I taught you that. She just smiled and continued to drive.

I love this simple but elegant jumper (I keep wanting to say sweater!). See, I'm sitting here thinking, and I could put that with my black palazzo pants! Great purchase.

    1. Oh Terri, I probably picked up the 3 ways idea from you too! I know I read about it on a blog, must've been yours.
Glad you've picked up on this jumper's simple elegance. I've seen a few around in the UK shops whilst on this trip but none come anywhere near to the Zara version's class and style.
      Hugs, x.
