The Loneliness of the Long Distance Blogger

I've been feeling a bit antsy these past few days, a bit anti it all.  A bit frustrated with the ways of the world.  Maybe I'm getting a tad political in my pensionerhood.  But more likely it's just a blip.

So, what does The Pout do when she feels anti everything?
She dresses accordingly!

Et voila, an Urban Guerilla.

I dressed in Next denim "not so shorts" and an old khaki linen shirt from M&S.  Linen was appropriate as I was getting my message across and I wanted it visible.

Urban Guerillas don't iron.
And linen is the perfect vehicle for that message.

Underneath I wore a Dotty P top I bought in their sale.  £7.  It looks pricier than that.  Not here in the pic, obviously. I'm playing it down.  I'm being Urban Guerilla edgy.  Guerrillas don't big-up materialistic things.

And I'm wearing no makeup.
Urban Guerillas don't wear makeup.

I like the colour khaki.  It's a statement colour.  The statement being I'm a bit peeved with stuff right now.  Well today, anyway.  For the sake of this OOTD.

I think I was channeling Wolfie Smith when I chose this outfit.

For those of you who can remember back to the 70s, here's Wolfie.  But who knows, I may have a sprinkling of extremely young readers, who weren't around to laugh at Wolfie's antics back then.  Sitting here alone in my turret, I just don't know who's in my demographic.  I don't even know if I have a demographic.  Or, indeed, what one is!
Oh, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Blogger.

Do you sometimes dress according to your mood, rather than the occasion?  No?  It's probably just me.  Probably just me who would want to look like Wolfie Smith for the day.
Now, where did I put my black beret ...?

A la perchoine.

  3. I'm glad you're out there, Anna. That makes two in the Wolfie fan club. Fingers crossed the Beeb'll dig out Wolfie. Ali G was a bit of a modern version.
