Remember ...

If not now, when?

Home, Sweet Home

It's my observation that a lot of us enjoy our holidays but we get to a point where we yearn for home, yearn for our own brand of normal and we long to be back with our loved ones.

I've been "on the road" for a month.
I have a yearning to be home ... to see the family I love so dearly, and my Bertie, my friends, my humble home.

I have a yearning to see this view again.
And I'm not just talking about the hot chocolate!

I've missed you, Sarnia Cherie, 💓, my little piece of normal.

A la perchoine.

  1. Mary I know exactly what you mean and I always feel the same. And that's even if I'm away for five or more days! xx

  2. I am a homebody for sure! I could never travel for work and admire those that do and do it so well. I love the idea of vacation and once I go I'm fine but I always have second thoughts about leaving my little nest.
    There's nothing like your normal!

    1. Hi Mts R, guess you're right, it feels OK once we're away. I find the organising of EVERYTHING beforehand so tiring. We LOVE normal!
Wishing you a cosy weekend, hugs, x.

  3. I agree completely. Holidays are lovely, but there's nothing like sleeping in your own bed and getting back into your own normal, as you put it so well.

    1. Hello sweetie-pie. I'm home now and dealing with my jet lag (a half hour flight!). We changed the clocks back today (think you're next week?). It's so dark out there!!!
